A review of Cloughmore Surgery by Daniel Young written on Thursday 28th of September 2017
I am a cancer patient who was previously registered at this surgery before I moved to London. I am now back in Cardiff recovering and have suffered an infection post chemotherapy and required to see a doctor. Not only can you not book an appointment in advance (AT ALL?) but you need to call at 08:00 on the morning that you require a doctor, but there is no guarantee. On the day in question, I called at 08:00 and redialled until I finally got through at 08:30 to be told that there were no doctors available, even after explaining my situation. Considering the fact that I have cancer, was in pain and obviously had an infection, which after chemo can be very serious, I was met with complete apathy and unhelpfulness. I had previously registered as a temp. resident, however, this had expired. I later explained that I required a doctor urgently, only to be told that I would need to re-register and that process would take longer than a day, therefore still couldn't even request to book an appointment. What an absolute shambles. My health is important to me, and I assume yours is too. That is why I am providing you with this review so that you can make a balanced and informed decision to register elsewhere. A surgery like this has no place in our modern healthcare system..
